Rebuilding a real-time trading platform

What I did

  • Rebuilt the platform from scratch in 6 months, replacing a failing legacy system, and ran it through 4 years of traffic peaks.
  • Grew the frontend team from 0 to 10: architecture conventions, interview process, onboarding courses.
  • Built a 3,000+ test suite (~60% coverage, focused on the critical paths) and real-time D3.js visualisations for trading flows.
  • Shipped a few React Native MVPs plus one in Kotlin Multiplatform to test the mobile thesis.
